Read Together A great site sponsored by the Scottish Executive, aiming to support parents/teachers who want to inspire children to read. Lists ’Reading Champions’, celebrities and writers/illustrators who work to promote reading. Recommends books and provides ideas from parents about helping children enjoy books.

The Word Pool For parents, teachers and children’s writers. 

Kids’ Review Aimed at children aged 6 to 14, Kids’ Review lets children write their own reviews and share their views with school children across the UK. It can be used from home and school so parents can become involved too. Great search features and linked to a database of 120,000+ titles. It aims to encourage children to develop an interest in books and to try books that they might otherwise ignore.
